英語の物語
最初は日本語を見ず、分からない部分だけ開いてみましょう。Nao was preparing a poster for the school festival. One word disappeared from her sentence: “Please ___ the green door.” She knew the missing word had six letters.
She wanted to write remember, but the letters would not stay on the page. When she tried to type it, the keyboard skipped the word. Nao asked her English teacher for another way to say it.
The teacher suggested, “Keep the green door in mind.” Nao wrote the new sentence. It looked longer, but every letter stayed where it belonged.
After class, a younger student asked Nao where the festival entrance was. The arrow on the map pointed to a wall. Nao used the new sentence to explain which door to avoid.
The student reached the correct entrance. Nao erased the strange poster and wrote a simple sign: “Choose the red door to enter.” The sign worked, and the festival began.
Before going home, Nao found one blue letter on the old poster. It was not part of remember. She kept it in her notebook to find out what it wanted to say.

disappear は「消える」。from の後ろに、消えた場所を置きます。
another way to say

another way to＋動詞で「〜する別の方法・言い方」。言い換えを求める時に便利です。
keep ... in mind
〜を心に留めるKeep the green door in mind.緑のドアを心に留めておいて。
覚えておく、意識しておくという意味。remember の言い換えとして使えます。通常は in your mind ではなく、この形で使います。
belong
属する／あるべき場所にあるEvery letter stayed where it belonged.すべての文字があるべき場所に残りました。
belong は「所属する」だけでなく、物が本来ある場所にあることも表します。
to find out
確かめるためにShe kept it in her notebook to find out what it wanted to say.それが何を言おうとしているのか確かめるため、彼女はノートにしまいました。
動作の後ろに to + 動詞の原形を置くと、その動作の目的を表せます。find out は「調べて知る、確かめる」です。
