The Day Recorded Twice

Months after the pizza incident, Mina noticed something odd in her phone's calendar. The same Tuesday appeared twice in her activity history, with slightly different details each time.

She compared the two versions carefully. They were almost identical, except for one photo. In the second version, Milo was not in a picture where he should have been sitting.

That night, the same white handprint she remembered from before appeared again, this time on her bedroom window. A faint blue light passed slowly behind the glass, like a small shape moving through the yard.

Mina was not afraid anymore, only curious. She decided to keep a paper journal instead of a digital one, to see whether it could be duplicated the same way.

The next time a day seemed to repeat, her paper entry did not change. Instead, a note appeared in the margin, in handwriting almost exactly like her own, except for one small detail: her 7 was never crossed like that. It said, “Thank you for noticing.”

Mina kept the journal by her bed. Whatever this was, it seemed more curious about her than dangerous. She began writing small, ordinary things on purpose, wondering if someone, or something, on the other side was reading them just as carefully as she read the notes left for her.
