The Cat Who Ordered Pizza

Hana went to the library on Saturday. Her cat, Milo, was home alone. Before she left, Hana said, “Be good. I will be back at five.” Milo looked at her and yawned.

At noon, Milo became hungry. His food bowl was empty. He jumped onto the table and walked across Hana's phone. The phone woke up and asked, “How can I help you?”

“Meow, meow,” said Milo. The phone answered, “Did you say, ‘Order a pizza’?” Milo meowed again. “Great,” said the phone. “One large tuna pizza will arrive in thirty minutes.”

Soon, someone was at the door. Alex, the delivery driver, held a warm pizza box. No person answered, but a small gray paw came out from under the door. Alex was surprised and called Hana.

Hana came home early. She checked her phone and laughed. “Milo, you ordered this because you were hungry!” She paid for the pizza, but Milo could not eat it. It had onions on it.

Hana gave Milo his cat food and ate the pizza herself. That evening, she changed the phone settings. Milo sat beside her and watched carefully. He already had a new plan.
